Commercial food waste

Introducing food waste collections across Oxfordshire has dramatically increased recycling rates, making Oxfordshire one of the top recycling areas in the UK. There are now more opportunities than ever for businesses to reduce waste and recycle more.

Over the next few months Oxfordshire Waste Partnership will host a number of events to promote the new services available to commercial customers. Small businesses based in Oxford City may also be eligible to receive a three month FREE start-up collection service: for more information please contact traderecycling@oxford.gov.uk

FREE food waste seminar

All food waste producing business are welcome to attend this seminar and small exhibition of service providers. Food waste collection providers will be present to answer your questions on food waste and demonstrate the various storage and collection solutions available. Carbon Accounting

Carbon Accounting

As part of its commitment to help businesses reduce their carbon emissions, Oxfordshire County Council has developed an online carbon foot printing tool called Carbon Accounting. This free tool can help businesses measure their carbon: the first step on the path to reduction.

The Environmental Information Exchange (EiE) at Oxford Brookes University offers further environmental support. As a not for profit group EIE has carried out energy and waste consultancy for over 1000 Oxfordshire and area businesses. For more details contact: eie@brookes.ac.uk or 01865 483 299
